Introduction

Our client, Remi Tack BV, specializes in the reconditioning and recycling of industrial plastic packaging, primarily IBCs and HDPE drums. Their customers are located throughout the Benelux and France.

At their site in Estaimpuis, 50 employees are responsible for collecting, cleaning, repairing, inspecting, and delivering second-hand packaging. For packaging that cannot be cleaned, components are replaced and reused, or the packaging is fully recycled.

Remi Tack is one of more than 80 companies within the Schütz Group, a global leader in industrial packaging.

To support their continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their team with a Maintenance Technician. 

Function

Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure the optimal operation of installations and production lines. You will provide technical support to the production teams and independently carry out maintenance work on the production lines to minimize downtime.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and immediately resolving malfunctions on production lines and installations.
  • Performing preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule for each machine.
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager in the implementation of predictive maintenance.
  • Assisting with the installation, programming, and modification of machines and equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment for both yourself and your colleagues.
  • Depending on the planning, welcoming and supervising external technicians and suppliers.
  • Preparing reports on your interventions.
  • Requesting quotations, negotiating prices, and managing stock levels of materials together with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Participating in continuous improvement processes and project implementation.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, electrical Engineering, maintenance technology, or you have equivalent work experience.
  • You possess a BA4/BA5 certification or are willing to obtain one.
  • You have relevant work experience, preferably in industrial maintenance.
  • You have a solid knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, and pneumatics. Welding knowledge is an asset.
  • You have a hands-on mentality.
  • You are able to work autonomously and are not afraid to take initiative.
  • You are flexible and willing to work in a shift system (day schedule).
