Our client is active in the meat processing industry. The company is part of a family group with many years of experience in Flanders and Wallonia.
Given further investments for the site located in Oevel, we are looking for reinforcement with a:
Production Leader (hands-on) – Secondary Streams Department
Function
In this new position, you will be responsible for optimizing existing production processes with a focus on the secondary stream. Together with your colleague Production Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing the production site, with a strong focus on further capacity growth.
This includes, among other things:
- Daily Management: You are an outspoken people manager who supervises about 10 line managers. You choose to communicate frequently with the employees, follow them up, and coach them. You anticipate and ensure maximum employee satisfaction.
- Planning and Work Distribution: Based on ongoing orders and requests, ensure that all departments are sufficiently staffed and can work efficiently. This includes collecting data and mapping production schedules. You form the link between sales and production.
- Process Optimization/Data Analysis: You assimilate all processes, further develop the desired procedures, evaluate them, and adjust where necessary in terms of cutting yields. You thus promote operational efficiency and strengthen the competitive advantage.
- Facility Management and Technical Equipment Management: You closely monitor all hygiene rules as well as the flawless operation of machines. We expect sufficient technical insight to take the necessary measures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a manager in the meat processing sector, large kitchen, convenience food, etc.
- You have analytical skills.
- You can rely on relevant work experience in process optimization in the food industry.
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus. You are willing to learn Dutch.
- Experience with MS Office applications, such as Word and Excel.
- A born leader who can motivate employees and take them to a higher level.
- A hard and loyal worker (no 9 to 5 mentality) who can combine ambition with strategic projects.
