Purchase & Planning Lead
Function
We are looking for a Purchasing & Planning Lead responsible for purchase planning and for leading the operational purchasing team. You ensure optimal product availability and the efficient functioning of our international supply chain. This is a hands-on role, in which you not only coordinate but are also actively involved in planning, ordering and follow-up through to import and receipt of goods.
Your responsibilities:
- Independently creating and monitoring an efficient purchasing plan to ensure products are available on time and in the right quantities, taking into account stock rotation, warehouse capacity and seasonal peaks.
- Guiding and supporting the purchasing team in managing orders, import formalities, transportation and delivery lead times.
- Personally following up on critical or complex cases and intervening where necessary.
- Optimising purchasing and planning processes, including stock management, logistics costs and supplier reliability.
- Developing, motivating and coaching your team to ensure a high level of performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, supply chain or a similar field.
- 4–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in an international environment.
- Strong analytical skills, sense of responsibilities and good knowledge of import processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and process optimisation.
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and French. Good knowledge of English.
